Mathani is an app published by 1e6 Projects. These terms cover how you use it. They are short because the app does very little on your behalf: there is no account and no subscription.
Mathani is a tool for recording and planning your own memorization and revision of the Qur’an. It is free to use.
It is an aid, not a teacher. The daily list is arithmetic over what you have told it, and it cannot hear whether your recitation is correct. Check your memorization and your tajwīd with a qualified teacher.
The muṣḥaf text is checked against a published source every time it is generated, and is never altered inside the app. If you find an error in it, please write to us at once.
Recitation audio is streamed from EveryAyah, a public archive, and remains the work of its reciters.
Your record is yours. It stays on your phone, and we have no copy of it. If you connect a cloud account for backup, the file goes into your account, and your provider’s terms cover it from then on. If you join a circle, only the summary described in the privacy policy is shared with its members.
The privacy policy at https://mathani.1e6projects.com/privacy sets out what the app stores and when it uses the network.
The app is provided as it is. We do not promise that it is free of defects, that it suits a particular purpose, or that it will always be available. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss that comes from using it.
None of this removes rights you have under consumer law, and in some countries those rights cannot be excluded. Where they conflict with anything above, they win.
Keep a backup of anything you would be sorry to lose. Uninstalling the app removes its storage, including your whole record, and we cannot restore it, because we never had a copy.
If these terms change, the date above changes with them. The version that applies to you is the one published when you last used the app.
Questions about these terms can go to privacy@1e6projects.com.
